DRYTOP is a 100% silicone, moisture-cured, RTV-cured waterproof roof coating designed to form a monolithic barrier against degradation caused by weathering, aging, and ultraviolet exposure. Its high solids content, combined with exceptional durability, color stability, and resistance to dusting, makes it an ideal protective coating for various surfaces, including polyurethane foam, metal, and new or existing roofs.
Mixing: DRYTOP® is a single-component coating, so mixing of components is not necessary. Use a motorized stirrer (300-400 rpm) for at least 5 minutes to ensure a uniform coating with no air in suspension.
Surface temperature: Ensure that the surface temperature is between 5 and 60°C (41 and 120°F) and that the ambient temperature is at least 3°C (5°F) above the dew point during application.
Tools: Although airless sprayers are recommended, brushes, trowels or rollers can also be used. Apply DRYTOP® at a rate that ensures a minimum dry film thickness (DFT) of 508 μm (20 mil). Multiple coats may be required to achieve the desired thickness with roller or brush application, even if coverage seems adequate.
Surface finishing: Avoid, when possible, combining different application methods to ensure a superior aesthetic appearance, especially with the use of airless spraying.
Adhesion testing: Before large-scale application on smooth substrates, already coated roofs and metal roofs, perform adhesion tests on small areas. Contact DRYKOS for compatible primers in case of unsatisfactory results.
Dilution: Dilution is not recommended.
